AMANTIDE (L’)

Santoro’s Family, headed by the elderly matriarch Teodora, lives on a large country estate. All its members give free rein to their passions in a perverse emotional balance that breaks when Rodolfo, following a bad riding accident, is paralysed. Teodora, looking to keep Rodolfo’s passionate wife Eleonora under control, arranges for Riccardo, Rodolfo’s son, to wind up in the arms of his stepmother. But there is no forcing the heart.
